Day 4 - Apr. 29, 2011 - 8:23 AM

Weight Lost - 3.2 pounds!!!!

Good morning world!!!  Today is the first day I will be taking this diet on the road.  We're heading to an Auto Parts and Car Show Swap Meet.

Not quite sure about all this, but REALLY glad I cooked extra food at my meals yesterday so I could throw it in a cooler and take it on the road!!!

I'm ecstatic with the drop in weight.  Today I lost not only the weight I gained during load day 2, but also went below my starting weight by .8 pounds!  Things are looking pretty good!!!!

Day 3 - Apr. 28, 2011 - 6:31 PM

Snack - 1:30 - Melba Toast

Snack - 3:30 - Apple

Dinner - 5:30 - 3.5 oz. chicken w. 1 chopped Roma tomato baked

Snack - 6:30 - 3 strawberries and 1 Melba Toast

Done with my eating for today.  Not hungry, but my hiccups are making me very sick to my stomach.  The headache has been on and off - I'm still fairly convinced it's from caffeine and chemical withdrawal rather than the diet.

I had a few more energy bursts but also some lulls.  I think part of that, as well, is getting weaned from the processed foods and such.  That should be gone in another day or two.

All else is well. :)  Looking forward to tomorrow.

Day 3 - Apr. 28, 2010 - 1:00 PM

Breakfast: Green Tea

Lunch: 3.5 oz. tilapia, 1/2 cucumber (raw)

Overall I feel pretty good.  I had TONS of energy this morning - enough to tackle my mess of a kitchen.  I have slightly less now and a bit of a headache, but I'm guessing that's from weaning off the diet soda addiction I've had to give up.

Beyond that, life is good.  I'm probably going to have a Melba Toast in a few minutes just to make sure this isn't a hypoglycemic headache (something I deal with frequently).  Other than that, stay tuned.  I think dinner is going to be some chicken baked in chopped tomato with garlic and Italian spices.  Need to run next door for said tomato.  Planning on some strawberries shortly too....YUM!

Day 3 - Apr. 28, 2011 - 9:21 AM

Weight gained - 2.6

Okay - this should be the last day of waking up to the scale going up. :)

Today starts the VLCD (Very Low Calorie Diet).  Starting today I will be "allowed" to eat the following each and every day.

Breakfast: Tea and/or Coffee.  Unlimited amounts.  No milk.  Sweetened with Stevia only.

Lunch: 1 vegetable (from a rather limited list) and one 3.5 ounce serving of protein (also from a limited list)

Dinner: Replay of Lunch. : )

Snacks: Any time during the day when you are hungry and/or just want to eat.  You may only eat one from each category at a time.  2 Fruit (apple, orange, 1/2 grapefruit, or a handful of strawberries) and 2 Melba Toast or grassini.

Since I can't buy grassini here, I don't eat half the vegetables due to allergies and don't eat shellfish, my diet will be significantly more restricted than others...but it will be WORTH IT! :)

From here on out I plan to post more often each day as I am available.  I will be posting what I eat, how I feel, any side effects, and my overall progress.  Check in and see me!! :)

Day 2 - Apr. 27, 2011 - 8:45 AM

Weight lost - .2 pounds.

Yesterday and today are "load days" so weight loss of any kind is not to be expected.  I'll admit I'm actually slightly concerned about the loss because they "say" if you don't load properly, you won't feel well for the first week.

Beyond that, I'm happy.  The drops are kind of sour - similar to a grapefruit or lemon tart flavor.  I feel pretty good but I'm sick of eating.  Honestly, I'd rather start the VLCD today, but I know I need to load another day unless I want to feel like garbage until the middle of next week.

Overall I can say this has been very easy thus far.  Only time will tell if it will remain so and if all the work will be worth it. :)

Day One - Apr. 26, 2010

Okie dokie.

Here's the deal.  For the next few weeks I will be embarking on a new weight loss journey.  Some would consider it a cleanse, others a diet, still others insane.

Take what you'd like, leave what you must.

I will be telling the honest truth of what I'm doing, eating, and other things during this journey.  The weight loss will be real.  The story will be real.  Your interpretation is up to you.

For those of you who have not heard of HCG, you are in good company.  I hadn't heard of it outside of pregnancy until a few weeks ago.  A dear family member offered to pay for my first bottle if I'd just TRY the diet.  So, why not?

Here's the "plan".  Each day you take 10 drops of the formula under your tongue (sub-lingual for you medical nuts) 3 times a day.  When you wake up, 30 minutes before lunch and 30 minutes before dinner.  You eliminate ALL oils from your diet - including oils on your body and hidden in beauty products.

The first two days are called "load days".  You eat as much as you can possibly consume in fatty, sugary foods.

After that, you reduce yourself to 2 100 gram servings of protein, 2 vegetables (1 per sitting), 2 fruits, and 2 melba toast or grassini.  That's it.  That's all you eat for 21 days.

Today was my first load day.  I don't want to eat again as long as I live.  Trying to choke down my chicken nuggets for lunch was deadly and I'm not looking forward to trying to eat dinner.  Coming from me, that's an accomplishment already but now is when I'm supposed to eat so eat I must.
